Medical Qualifications
Dr Elia Maalouf qualified with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree from Dundee University in 1989. In 1999 he was awarded a postgraduate Medical Doctorate degree for his thesis on brain injury in premature infants.
Medical Experience and Training
Dr Maalouf became a Consultant in 1999 and has published widely in the field of neonatal medicine. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health and a member of the Neonatal Society, and the British Association of Perinatal Medicine.
Dr Maalouf consults part-time at Homerton University Hospital, London (a level III Perinatal Centre) and at the Portland Hospital for Women and Children, London. He has a specialist interest in brain injuries in newborn infants and treats all general paediatric conditions as well as infants in intensive care.
